Tollemache Orchards is a family owned and operated apple grower and packer from Hastings New Zealand.  The D'Ath Family produce around 150,000 cartons of apples annually and export to Europe, Asia, Middle East, UK, Canada and the USA through multiple exporters and also supply apples to the fruit for schools programme and other local market channels in New Zealand.

Tollemache Orchards philosophy is that we strive to produce the finest quality apples for markets the world over.  We have also implemented quality and food safety systems and sustainable growing practices that will meet compliance, maximise efficiency and encourage the ongoing improvement of performance against customer expectations.

 Our team at Tollemache Orchards work hard to produce a quality end product which starts from bud burst through to the apples you select from the supermarket shelves.  We have high quality standards and procedures in place to ensure we meet these requirements for customers and exporters.

To meet all food safety standards and good horticultural growing practices, we have developed systems and procedures to ensure we comply to these standards and growing practices.  We are GlobalGap, BRC Grade AA certified and also MPI approved operators.

 We are growers who care about the environment we work and live in.  We look after the environment and our natural resources by,

  • monitoring soil moisture levels, water use and only using when it is needed.
  • Established habitats for wildlife to thrive and to monitor wildlife populations.
  • Use machinery,  fuel and electricity more efficiently to reduce emissions.
  • Minimise machinery work to reduce soil compaction.
  • Recycling waste material generated on the orchard.
